Tim Ndezi is a water engineer with wide experience of working in participatory development with poor communities on water and sanitation and housing and shelter schemes. In particular Tim Ndezi is pioneering micro-credit lending using small group savings and credits schemes known as Federation model on water, sanitation and housing schemes inTanzania.
He has substantial experience of developing partnerships between NGOs and governments at district, municipal and regional level. Tim Ndezi has a PhD on water and sanitation management from Loughborough University (WEDC),UK.
At present he is Director of the Centre for Community Initiatives (CCI)Tanzania, a local NGO affiliated to Slum Dwellers International (SDI) which supports slum development programmes that address housing and shelter, water and sanitation, savings and credit and health inTanzania.
