The WSSCC Global Forum on Sanitation and Hygiene takes place on 9-14 October 2011 the Renaissance Mumbai Hotel & Convention Centre. The facility is located within close proximity to the Mumbai domestic and international airports.

Upon arrival, participants will exit baggage claim and look for the Renaissance Mumbai shuttle bus, which will transport them to the hotel.
Participants should first check-in at the front desk of the hotel. Registration and conference check-in will be available during business hours in the Conference Centre.
The Secretariat, located in Meeting Room 3, handles all logistical and programme-related details during the Global Forum.
Workshop, seminar and side-event speakers must download their presentations in Meeting Room 1. This should be done as early as possible and at the latest the day before the actual presentation.
The official language of the WSSCC Global Forum on Sanitation and Hygiene is English, although a number of sessions will have simultaneous translation into French.
All of the best, latest and most important WASH-related publications are available on the Global Forum memory stick that you will receive as part of your registration. So you will find important materials from WSSCC and all conference partners. These include knowledge tools and products, and advocacy materials such as all of WSSCC’s new “GDP for GDP” campaign materials, and more.
Medical assistance will be available at the conference venue. Please visit the Information Desk located near the main entrance for assistance. In an emergency, you should contact Powai Police station (+91 22 25702690), the Marol Fire Department (+91 22 29200941/101) and Ambulance by dialling 1252. This emergency number is for use when an immediate response is required. In non-emergency situations, call the Police at 100 or visit the nearest police station.
The Global Forum is pleased to host a photo exhibition by O.P. Singh, who is a Visual Anthropologist and Director of WaterZoom. Together with Nandita Singh, who is an Associate Professor at the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH), Stockholm, Singh is involved in research and visual documentation for information, education and communication on different issues concerning water resources management. In a dedicated area of the WASH Fair, Global Forum participants can view his stark and moving black and white photographs, which exhibit various sanitation, hygiene and water supply motifs in India.
An IT area will be available in the main foyer where participants can read and send e-mails. Wireless Internet (5500 INR/-+taxes for 5 connections per day) up to 0,256 Kbps (suitable for checking emails) is available throughout the conference area and venue.
All meals are included in the conference fee and will be provided by the catering team of the Renaissance Mumbai. Each day, participants will have a large choice of continental and Indian cuisine to enjoy. Beverages will also be included, with the exception of alcohol.
The organizers cannot accept liability for personal injuries sustained, or for loss of or damage to property belonging to participants (or their accompanying person), either during or as a result of the Global Forum activities. All participants are recommended to have personal insurance for any personal damages or losses.
There are a number of exchange offices in Mumbai. The best place to exchange money is at the Mumbai International Airport upon arrival. At the hotel, please ask the concierge for the location and opening hours of the nearest exchange office. There are also ATM machines widely available in Mumbai, including an ATM (City Bank) located in the shopping arcade of the hotel that accepts most national and international debit and credit cards for cash withdrawals.

A fully staffed press room is available to accredited journalists, who can get assistance with interview requests, work in a quiet environment and obtain information on scheduled press events.
